Going to start it now. For SWG. Just pressing the less button until no % shows means it’s off right? (Tried looking in the manual but didn’t see it)

I did not add stabilizer yet. Was going to add it to a skimmer socks and about 2 pounds. But I will wait. Added the muratic acid about 45 min ago. Now adding two bags of salt. Then I’ll do my first test for the overnight test

Yes I did that. But the black dot only went away if I squirted harder and bubbles formed. It sounds like we have low stabilizer if it didn’t blur. I have skimmer socks. I’ll use pool math and see how much to add. Thanks.

I double checked with a test strip to see if that shows low stabilizer too and it does. So I think it’s low. Thoughts?

I redid the text and I did it outside this time. Now clarifying question. If I squeeze the bottle into the test tube fast it does blur away but that could be from the bubbles right? Or is that the way you do this test? If not. And you squeeze slowly this was the end result with the water all...

Might be a dumb question, but as I have never done it before. Does it just get poured in the pool water? And specific location or doesn’t matter.

I’ll stop at the Glastonbury location. Thanks. I actually have PH lower left by the PB in my basement. That’s the same stuff right? How much of it should I add to lower PH to start? Then tomorrow when I get home from work I can try the CYA test as well. Then, tomorrow night I can try the...

Which muriatic acid do you buy? I shop at Home Depot and have seen liquid and granular versions.

I just read through that. To confirm. I need to switch off my SWG. Wait at least 30 min and then test FC and CC. Then, leave SWG overnight? And test again before sun comes up? Then I can turn my SWG back on?

Gotcha. FYI it is a brand new pool. It was just filled a couple weeks ago and everything was turned on April 17 and the PB added chemicals to kick start it and added the initial amount of salt.

Stabilizer was added by the PB. Not sure how much. It was added into the skimmer.

Okay, so I bought the TF Pro Salt test kit. We just did all of the tests for the first time. Here are our results (minus the CYA test) PH: 8 TA: 150 CH: 150 Salt: 3,000 Free chlorine: 4 CC: 0 As for CYA. Any tips on that test? My wife and I couldn’t get the black dot obscured while looking...
