Possible issue with chlorinator

05,

The connector in your pic appears to be the one going to the cell????

If so, that is not the cable in your link.. The cable in the link goes between the bottom of the EasyTouch up to the Surge card (Power Supply) that is mounted to the back wall behind your front panel..

Thanks,

Jim R.
Jim, it looks like this ferrule came out of the connector in the bottom of the EasyTouch.

I asked about the condition of the pin on the cell connector.

The cable lead on the other side is brittle and falling apart which is why the socket lead came off. I'm finishing up work and going to see if I can patch a cable together to get it running.

IF like others have said that the chlorinator has nothing to do with the pump running, then how to I get it into standalone mode??? I don't care if its running full out just running by its self.

What model pump are we discussing?

Does the pump run when the EasyTouch is in SERVICE mode?

I tried rigging it up but that cable is to brittle. If anyone could help me just to get the pump running by its self that would be great!
I tried putting it into Service mode but nothing happened unless I need to change something at the pump itself

Put the pump in service mode and control the pump via the keypad on the pump.

The numbered buttons should each have a RPM setting. When you press the number, the speed will be displayed.

Press the start/stop button to run the pump or stop the pump.

Once the pump is running, you can use the left/right arrow keys to change the RPM.

Ok, I pressed the Start button and nothing happened. Then I pressed the #1 button and it turn on to 1800rpm and the lowered to 750. I then pressed #2 and that brought it up to 2400rpm. That should make me feel a little better until I can get this cable fixed.

Thanks all!!

Use buttons 1 & 2 for continuous running.

Buttons 3 & 4 have an egg timer as default and will not run continuously unless the egg timer is changed.

Should I add in 2-gallons of liquid shock to get me through till Monday?
If you get your pump up and running you can bring your chlorine to slam level however much that ends up being using poolmath. If you have any trichlor chlorine tablets you can also put some on a floater. Not typically recommended especially if your CYA is already up there with a SWG but you are only gone for what 3, 4 days and the goal is to get some chlorine in the pool to prevent an algae bloom.

I'm going to check to see if the egg timers are still working. I'll also see if I can find a YouTube on creating a Program for it. I just don't want to change anything for when I put it back into "Auto" mode.

I have no trichlor and don't have time to buy any but can get the liquid shock quick. I'm gonna check my chlorine and possibly have my neighbor throw in the shock on Saturday.
