I am experiencing what many others have posted. I am still under warranty (for another little bit) and am trying to get this resolved once and for all.

When the cell is resting, the system will sometimes jump into Service Mode with error code 123. The funny thing is, it will jump back to normal operation and produced chlorine. The problem for me really is that I am having a hard time getting to 7 ppm FC while running the chlorinator at 100% for 12 hours a day. The service tech has run all of the diagnostics with a multimeter and Jandy determined that I needed a new cell. They replaced the cell, power cord, and the tri sensor and as soon as they did; same problem. They are now sending a new board as that seems the only piece left.

Anyway, I am concerned that even replacing the board isn't going to fix the problem. If it doesn't, then I want to have my ducks lined up.

So, my question is, how much chlorine is this cell supposed to be generating in a 12 hour period if set at 100%? Is it half (.625 lbs) per day?

Yes, it is rated for 1.25lbs/day (20 oz) when run at 100% for 24 hours. Half of that is .625 or 10oz. In your pool, that would raise your FC by 2.3/day.

Also very good to know. So, I definitely have an issue then if I am set at 100% for 12 hours, can't get over 7ppm, and the system is going into rest mode and/or rest mode accompanied by Service.

No, you are not really running it enough. Pools use between 2-3 parts chlorine per day.

My pool is 29000 gallons and I have the same SWCG. I run mine at 55%/24 hours. You need to run yours longer. You are barely and probably not keeping up with daily losses and for sure not increasing it. Why do you stop at 12 hours? Run it wide open for 24 hours and see what you get.

Can you post a picture of your SWG LCD panel?

BTW: Are you sure it is going into rest mode and not "reverse" instead?

I know it says 75%, but trust me when I say it does this at 100% as well.

Looks like we are in same climate. I’m in Sykesville

Well howdy neighbor!

It shows the 123 error. It for sure is having issues. With a 123 error, it may not be producing any chlorine. You'll want to manually add chlorine until they fix it.

For the record, your pictures do not show the "resting" light on.

The funny thing is, it will slide into Service Mode and then slide itself out later. Normally happens during cell resting or cell reversing. I hope this new board fixes it.

That typically would be indicative of cell failure. Perhaps your new cell has also failed or was defective to begin with. This is a genuine Jandy/Zodiac replacement cell? Do you know if it came in a box?

Thanks. I tried to download that but I can't. Everything made me feel like I was about to catch a virus. I do know that he had to do all sorts of testing before they would replace anything. He complained that Jandy is not a good to deal with as Pentair when it comes to warranty parts.
