What is the best way to clean mold off of a painted concrete deck without damaging the finish on the deck? Can I use my power washer on a lower setting and use diluted bleach to clean the deck or should something else be used? If it is okay to use my power washer on a lower setting, how can I keep the moldy water from getting into my pool? I could hire someone to soft wash the deck, but I really hate to do this unless I absolutely have to. The deck is almost black so there is a lot of mold to remove.

Take a look for a “pressure washer surface cleaner” attachment for your pressure washer. They make it a bit easier to clean off the deck without spraying water everywhere. But if the deck is graded “into” the pool, the runoff will follow gravity. The tool needs a minimum pressure to work well because it splits the output into 2-3 separate jets so each one is a little lower pressure than a single one.

No way to tell if your deck surface can take it. Depends on what it’s made of and how old it is. I used one on mine which is stained with Behr concrete stain.

I recently bought a pressure washer surface cleaner. If I decide to try it, what should I use to get the mold off without taking off the paint? Can I use diluted 10% chlorine or should I buy something else instead. I want something that won't cause too much harm if it gets into the pool and also won't kill the shrubs near the pool.

Plain water works just fine. But beware that any loose paint WILL come off with a pressure washer.
