Instapark Betta review

My SE Plus is getting noisy. I don't think it's the propeller motors but just noise from the gearing inside. Has anyone sent a Betta in for repair for this reason and had it repaired or replaced?

Also, any suggestions on how to clean the brown organic staining from the basket mesh screens?

Thanks.

Hello from down 77!

It’s been quite a while since I posted. I now run 2 bettas in the pool when both work! Sorry but I can’t keep up with which model only that for a long while last year the earlier version (blue) stopped working. Blue sat on the pool deck for months. Every once in a while I tried starting it up. No go. Back on the pool deck.

The new betta which could be an SE (white) ran during the entire time blue was down. White was probably going on a year or more. About 6 months ago or more blue restarted and has been going gangbusters ever since. Within a month after blue restarted White crapped out. White sat on the deck for 4 months. Now it restarts and runs for a few days - rinse - repeat. As the down time between restarts increases it will be back on the deck for a bit.

I also have an unboxed betta purchased during one of their sales. I’m holding off until Blue goes up in smoke!

It was great having both during the past week’s furry pine droppings and yellow pollen.

I’ve given up returning them…as long as one works I’m satisfied.

The toads are back commuting as were the peepers!IMG_5240.jpegIMG_5241.jpeg

I bought 2 just for when one goes down. Now that I see how well 2 do in the pool, and how much 2 easier my life is with two going at once I now want a third one, for whenever one goes down..

But if one goes down 1/3 of the time, that means that two will be down 1/9th of the time. And then what ? Only have one again ?

Unintended bonus : if you buy enough of them to ensure that 2 are always working, debris can't blow in the pool and it'll be just like having patio there instead of a pool as it blows by.

I've had good pretty good luck with my Betta SE Plus but not with their warranty repair and replacement service. A few months ago I sent mine back to repair a LED that was out and for noisy gearing. My robot was repaired and returned but they broke one of the corner guide wheel bumper assemblies and it was in bottom of the box. From the way it was packaged it appeared it was broken during packaging, not in shipping. Betta sent me a replacement SE Plus and had me return the broken robot. The replacement works fine, but the overall condition of it wasn't new or even like-new. My original robot was cleaner. I cleaned it well enough so I'm satisfied with it. I think it performs better and is quieter than my original SE Plus. Overall I'm very happy with the SE Plus and it does a fantastic job even on our fine pollen!

The snakes could go on more cruises that way…

I've had my SE Plus in my pool for 3 months now, and other than cleaning some palm threads off the prop shafts have really done very little to maintain it. It just works. Hoping it stays that way. I'm amazed that I have not had to pull it out to charge.

They used to just send me out brand new ones. They didn’t offer me that this time. Of course back then I think they were trying to get the business off the ground. I sent mine in and they are telling me it’s going to be a month, which is the longest I’ve had to wait. We will see how it goes, but it was always their service more than their product that had me sold on them.

You are sympathizing with them for holding your robot hostage.

As an uninvolved 3rd party, I can see that them repeatedly standing behind a poor quality product does not improve or make up for the poor quality product. 😁

Mines been sitting outside under cover all winter. I just opened the pool and tossed in the betta. Working fine for a few days now.

lol! I need them for their very large baskets though! If there is a new one out there with a large basket, I’ll give it a go. Funny thing though is my old one that was like the 3rd revision is still going strong, but I service that one myself once a year.

Ordered yesterday and got today from Leslie’s. Of course I live in Dallas and it ships from here.

I didn’t know this, but buying from Leslie’s gives you a 2 year warranty instead of the standard 1 year.

Put it in the pool and it is doing a great job so far
