Hi friends,

The solar cover we bought says to keep a MAX chlorine of 3 PPM. Lol. Do we just ignore that? My CYA is 50. Do all covers generally recommend something similar?

Also, I took three Chlorine samples and got different results. (7/9/10) I hadn't added chlorine since yesterday. What's the expected standard deviation on this test?

Everything says max of 3 ppm FC. That is because that is the EPA standard for drinking water. NO CYA.

Ignore it.

FAs-DPD I think! It's the one TFP recommends with 10 mL that turn pink and then you count drops
How far apart (in time) were each of those tests? Make sure you hold the dropper bottle vertical and that you get a big scoop of powder in there. It’s ok if there’s a few grains of powder that remain undissolved.

It was all within 5 minutes. I wasn't holding the bottle vertical. I will do another OCLT tonight. My morning readings were 7/8.5/7 so I either passed or failed last night! (At least I didn't REALLY OBVIOUSLY fail ha)

The error tolerance is +\- 1 drop so 7.5-8.5 would have been the expected range.
