Pentair Easy Touch Indoor controller

i'll reach out over pm, but first... how did you isolate it as the issue? i.e. does the outdoor panel work fine and talk to your pump/salt generator/etc (I don't know what you've got) with the indoor unit unplugged?

Great questions and sorry for not giving you more of the backstory. Lots of recent storms here in San Antonio and initially the indoor wired controller just went blank. my ScreenLogic app continues to work fine via Wi-Fi and cellular. I asked my pool guy to come over yesterday and take a look at the unit and try and troubleshoot. He is fairly knowledgeable about Pentair easy touch systems and discovered some frayed and potentially shorted wiring where the cable from the controller hooks up to the easy touch outdoorpanel wiring. He repaired some of the spices and we attempted to reconnect. At that point I smelled a little bit of burned. Electrical smell at the indoor control panel where the wiring hook hooks up to the circuit board. That’s kind of where we left it and said we would just use the app from here on out. I would rather have the board fixed and still have the use of the indoor panel but not sure if that is the right option or not.

Ok cool that's great information... it definitely sounds like the indoor board is bad. I usually like to connect it with a short known-good cable to the outdoor board to eliminate wiring issues but it sounds like you and the tech took care of that already. sending you a message now.

Thank you so much, sir! I really appreciate it!
