Would like some input on using glass trim tiles with micro pebble finish. We’re underway with our resurfacing project and chose a 1x2 glass tile for steps and benches (just a single row), but am now seeing posts on this forum and others about the tiles being badly scratched when the finish is installed. Is this inevitable with any pebble finish (regular, mini, micro) or would it be less apt to happen with micro? Also, are the scratches caused by the trowels, the pebbles or both? We chose Stonescapes Aqua Blue Micro for our finish. Wanted a little bling this time around but am wondering if we should just go with porcelain tiles instead. Any input from both owners and PBs will be greatly appreciated!

I had 2x2 glass tiles installed on my steps to show where the edges are at with no etching.
