It seems I have lost a little bit of water over the winter. I had the water about a quarter of the way up the skimmer opening and now it is near the bottom. I used the red ph Taylor 0004 testing liquid to look for a leak around the skimmer it looks like I found a small one near one of the screw holes. The screw is actually stripped so I cannot tighten it. I was thinking my options are this: 801 clear silicon over the screw openings and maybe around the outside of the skimmer for good measure then put the faceplate back on. Another option would be some flex seal tape around the skimmer over the screws then put the faceplate back on? Thought? Other options? 5 year old fiberglass pool.
