Got a new Pentair Superflo 1 HP to completely replace an old Pentair Whisperflo.

Old connections where:
Screw in 1.5 inch male to 1.5 inch female inlet; and
1.5 inch male to 1.5 inch female outlet
See photos.
New pump is as pictured with 1.5 inch unions provided but don't know BEST way to connect or adapt.

The provided inlet union will work if I can get a new outer edge screw on that I can bond to the provided union.

The outlet side puzzles me.

Where are the unions that came with the pump?
WhisperFlow pumps are all 2"FIP inlet and outlet that accept that 2" CPVC nipple in a 2" union in your hand.
The other half pump-union with the O ring is also 2."
You use 1.5" - 2" bushings to increase the pipe size from the 1.5" unions that came (or should have) with the pump.

Here are the 2 unions provided. Not sure how they would work with any previous connections at all since the threaded ring connections on the inlet and outlet are on thw outer side. The new unions will connect to the pump inner side for the inlet and outlet but then won't connect on their plain pipe ends to the existing 2 threaded outter edge of the inlet and outlet rings.
Alternatively the union pipes arent threaded either and the new Pentair inner threads are now smaller than the older model pumps. They also decreased the space between the basket and outlet so the old locking ring is now too wide to connect to the new outlet outside threads.

For visability i attached 2 photos with old connections on left and new unions on right

Almost feels like a complete replumb or return. Thanks again for looking and commenting.

Any time you change pump types, some re-plumbing is necessary, even within the same brand.
You should be able to use a 2" coupler over the new unions to bring the pipe size to 2" then plumb from there. If you cut the threads off that CPVC nipple it will go into a 2"coupler.

You will have to redo some of the effluent side (from the pump to the filter).

Can you show the whole system?
Here is the effluent outbound side from the pump. 2 images. The union provided next to the existing and a larger photo of how it previously went to the filter.
