Proper settings to vacuum advice

Hello, I recently moved and had a new pool installed. I can not find anything in the manual or online and I am not having any luck from Pentair customer support.

What settings do I need to use to vacuum? I normally run 30gpm (about 62% speed) 8am to 6:30pm with my 16300 gallon pool.

I hook up my hose plate to the skimmer and I feel like I’m not getting enough suction. I know you normally want a higher speed, I’m just worried if I send it full I will pick up the liner and if I leave to low I will damage the pump.

Not sure of any other information needed.

Thanks in advance.

Whatever setting works for your pool.

You have to adjust your pump speed up and see what speed gives you satisfactory vacuuming.

I never would install a suction vacuum on a new pool. There are much better methods of cleaning a pool.

And I suggest you learn about TFPC and stop using all those unnecessary Leslie chemicals you have listed in your signature.

Thank you. I moved a few years ago and just recently had the pool installed. My signature is probably from a few years ago from my old pool. I most likely don’t use those anymore. I’m trying to get back into this page now that a pool is relevant to me again. I’m trying to find the signature edit.
