Ph was balanced before starting slam.
Cya was brought from 0 to 40 before slam. Just Tested before adding chlorine while FC level was back down from 20.
Current levels:
CYA 40
PH 7.6
Alkalinity 150
FC 7

Poolmath says add 1 gallon and 1 qt chlorine, which I just did. I’ve been brushing the pool daily and just can’t understand why the water isn’t improving. We used Poolmath for the last 2 years and opened a pool that had been closed for 3 years using only this method, so not completely new to the process and have had great success in the past. Any help?

How often are you checking and replacing FC? Should be doing at least 3-4x per day. It will go faster if you can do every 2 hours.
What type of filter do you have? Sand filters take the longest to clear a pool.

Checking twice a day as time allows with work
Yeah, it will take a long time to clear if you only have the ability to do a couple times a day. You can do it every two hours, so do a couple in the morning and a few in the evening if you can. Anyone else around to test and replace?
