Hayward pump replaced due to seal leakage which caused motor to corroded, noticed upon opening pool. Shaft was locked up.
Ordered new drivetrain parts in case a crack I couldn't see and quality seal set. Installed and seal is already leaking again. Lubed correctly.
Any ideas?

Did you just replace just the motor or the entire pump+motor assembly?

Assuming you only replaced the motor, then I would look at the impeller and/or diffusor for any indication of imbalance and/or defects. Any imbalance can quickly wear out a seal. Is there any excess vibration when the pump is running?

Also, if you replaced the entire pump+motor, then a warranty claim should be in play.

Replaced the entire impeller and drive along with motor. The housing is the only item we did not replace. Haven't noted excess vibration.

We had a warranty for the motor but trying to have a pool company come to the house was hard to schedule. Did bring the motor to the pool store. They said a person had to come to the house. Smh.
