Will pH Rise Back Up

I typically have to add acid every few days to bring my ph down. In fact, if I let it go a couple of weeks, I will exceed 8.0. I recently had a surgery and, as, expected, during the time I was away, the pH crept up to 8.0, so over the next few days, I added a cup of acid to gradually lower the ph like I normally would. Well, I don't know what went wrong but suddenly I am at 7.0, which has never, ever happened before! It did rain heavy one night between my "gradual" dosings, but I still checked before adding.

Is it OK to leave it as low as it is for a week or so to see if it climbs back up, as usual, or do I needed to rush out and get something to raise the pH immediately?

As long as youre testing is reliable, its fine. Any pH that starts with 7 is perfect.

What is the TA? You are not saving chemistry data to Poolmath so it is not populated.

Oh, that's good to know. I just went out and tested again for today and it's 7.6,right where my target it is. I know I am testing correctly (how can you screw up a pH test), and I swear for two days straight in read 7.0. Is it possible that the rainstorm could have caused that?

pH constantly rises as long as your TA is above 40/50ppm. Did you test that too as noted above?
