We’ve owned this home with the pool for almost two years. I’m unsure the filter or pump has ever been replaced in the last 23 years. Right after cleaning the filter and dumping small skimmer attached to pump it started making very loud humming noise coming from the back of the pump. I turned the filter off twice and back on and it stopped. I’m wondering what could have happened or if this is a prequel to the pump dying.
