Hello. I have a one speed 8 yr old Pentair Superflo pump. The original pool builder reached out to me that he had a new Pentair Intelliflow3 VSF plus the Pentair clean and clear RP 160355 cartridge cleaner. Everything is new and in the box. Reason selling it is because one of his customers decided to go with Hayward vs Pentair. He is looking to sell both items for $1700 which I know is way below what both items would cost online, but looking for a quick sell. Thoughts on this pump? Worth the investment? Any feedback appreciated. Thank you

Did it fall off a truck? ;) Buyer beware.

That said, this is what I might do. Look into Pentair's warranty. If you buy three things, they give you an extended warranty, three years. But certain things. A pump and a filter qualify, I think. So if you go for two, consider a third. An automatic cleaner? A saltwater chlorine generator?

Then, before the deal is done, confirm with the builder and Pentair that the equipment can, indeed, be registered with Pentair, and that Pentair will honor the three-year warranty. If they issue the warranty, then it doesn't really matter what truck it fell off of. If Pentair balks or questions the purchase, I'd walk away.

Why wouldn't they just use it on the next pool they build?
Great question. He doesn't have any current builds needing equipment and he needs the money vs keeping it in storage. Definitely did not fall off a truck as he has the invoice of the purchase, but great question about warranty if Pentair will honor it.

On average once a week and if I get a lot of debris from surrounding trees then twice per week.
Get a large filter. I clean mine once a year, although I could push it to 18 months. You're spending massive amounts of unnecessary time and effort cleaning a tiny filter.

Hello everyone. I picked up a pentair intelliflo3 vsf and I'm trying to figure out how the electrical install is to be done by eliminating the Intermatic P1403 digital timer that I am currently using. I only use the timer for the pool pump and Hayward Aquarite SWG. Electrical to the pump is straight forward, just unsure how to connect the SWG into the Relay Control board that came with the pump.

Based on the diagram attached, if I understand it correctly, the two hot cables coming from the SWG would go into 5A Supply L1 and Device L1. Is anything else needed? Seems to simple vs how the intermatic timer which needed jumpers and such.

Any feedback or guidance greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is your Aquarite wired for 120V or 240V?

Hot wire(s) FROM the CB connect to the SUPPLY screws.

Wire(s) TO the Aquarite SWG connect to the DEVICE screws.

Show us pics of the Intermatic timer wiring.

Show us the wiring on the IntelliFlo pump.

Aquarite is wired for 240v. Pictures attached below. Ignore the 4th wire (blue) as that was used when the pump motor was 2speed. Also I am not sure what you mean by "CB"? Controller board?

CB = circuit breaker

If you are powering the Aquarite from the same CB as the IntelliFlo you need to jumper from Pump L1 to Supply L1 and Pump L2 to Supply L2.

Connect the Aquarite to Device L1 & L2.

I got around to installing the pump today and works just fine except the SWG. I did the jumper as stated above and installed the SWG into the Device L1 and Device L2 on the left side (5A). Unfortunately the SWG panel does not turn on. I even turned the pump to 100% speed to see if it had anything to do with it and did not make a difference. I measured Supply L1 and L2 and each have the proper voltage but not sure if Device L1/L2 should also be reading each 120v. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks
