IC40 and Easytouch

My salt cell recently went bad and I replaced the cell with an identical IC40. Everything now lights up appropriately and my easytouch sees the system and appropriately turns it on when the pump comes on. Since the pool builder set up everything originally I never looked at the easytouch settings. Today I looked and under the Intellichlor settings for run hours it is set at 0. Is there a chance my unit has power but isn’t working? What do others easytouch setting say? I assumed it was working when the pump was running. Is this not the case? Thanks for your help.

Eric,

That "Run Hours" is only used when in Super-Chlorinate and just tells the system how long to run when in Super-Chlorinate. (Which I have never used in over 10 years on three saltwater pools...)

As a test, you can set the cell's output to 50% and then go to the cell and look at the Cell light. It should come on for about 2.5 minutes and then it will be off for about 2.5 minutes.. If the Cell light is working, then the cell is making chlorine..

Thanks,

Jim R.
