Hi all, I’m looking at purchasing a pool robot but the sidewalls of my pool are not completely flush and wondering if folks with such pool shapes have success?

My pool (fiberglass) has a safety ridge/ notch about halfway up the pool and all along the sidewall like the photo below. Will a robot be able to climb completely up such a vertical surface to get to and clean the waterline?

Thank you

g,

The robot should still be able to get up to clean the water line tile, but it obviously won't do any cleaning right at the "safety ridge"

It will also not do steps or above the steps..

Thanks,

Jim R.

My pool robot doesn't struggle with the safety ledge. it easily climbs and does the waterline. It seems to suck any sand or detritus off the ledge no problem either but I wouldn't say it gets any brushing action on the ledge.

I brush my ledges and steps manually. The robot will have a go at the second and third entry step but it's hardly thorough IMO and will get itself hung up for a minute or two pretty regularly.
