Clear greenish/blueish water

Without a proper kit there's no way to slam the pool because there isn't a point of reference to guide you from. Those strips are very inaccurate and advice can't be based off them.
Understood, but only adding 12% clorine to a pool should not turn the water green correct. Without breaking the bank which pool tester do you recomend for the future. For now I think I am just going to shut it down for the season as I seem to have no other choice

I like the Tf-100 if you don't have the SWCG system. I will highly recommend the Magnetic Smart Stirr which is out of stock as per the website, itll make testing a breeze and once you use it you'll never be caught without it. The kit will get you two years of use as long as it's properly stored. I wouldn't throw away the season because of it. With the kit you can get back on track.

My pool has been clear for most of the summer since opening it. I have noticed that only and everytime I add 12% liquid shock the water goes from being clear to a light greens/blueish color, which I have never seen before in all of the years of having a pool. It seems to clear up after a period of time. I have performed a basic test of the water and have
Cya 10ish
TA 120
ph 7.6 to 7.8
FC 3
tCf 5
Th 150ish
I had attached a picture of the water

I'm late to the party. Have you figured it out yet?
IMHO you're on the verge of an algae bloom.
This color is what our water looks like when we open. Give it a day or two without adding chlorine and see if it gets worse.
When you add the 12.5% it starts to kill algae making the water greenish blue slightly cloudy, which then settles making the water look clearish again with dead algae on the bottom.
IMHO you're staying only 1 step ahead of the algae.

Have you tried a different brand of liquid chlorine just to rule that out? Lowes and Walmart sell the Pool Essentials 10% stuff.
