Pool cloudy again

So last Wednesday we had a huge plume of smoke come though from Canada. The next day I noticed my pool was cloudy. I boosted up the pump speed and shocked it. The pool cleared up in couple of days.
I did an oclt and it passed.
My wife swam last weekend. Kids swam today. The water looks cloudy again, not as bad though. Last time I couldn't see the bottom of the deep end.

Not sure what's going on. Only thing I can think of is soot settled and got stirred up today, but I've ran my vacuum multiple times and it never clouded. I also cleaned the filter

You have quite a bit of fluctuations in your CYA the last 2 weeks, ranging from 30-50 with your latest one being 38 which we will just call 40. Unless you have added CYA or lost water, lets just use 50 as your CYA and target 6-8 as your FC.

For the most part you are within the target FC, but you did have FC < 1 a week ago which is concerning. If you passed the OCLT, I would just run it hot (target something like 8-12 FC)for the next week or two and see if it stays clear.

I did add cya. Trying to bring it up. For some reason I'm testing lower than the pool stores. One place said I was 42 when I tested 30 and than I added 2#s and I tested 40 and a different store said 53
 
You have a quality test kit, so please stop comparing the results to a pool store. They are notoriously inaccurate in their testing, and keep in mind their ultimate goal is to sell you stuff vs giving you accurate test results. I try to avoid pool stores like the plague and can get almost anything from Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes or Amazon.

Yeah the one I went to today said my salt was 2100. I test it at around 3000-3200
