We are replacing our solar controller with a Hayward Gl 235. As soon as its connected it throws the pool gfci breaker. It's installed as pictured in the manual. it only needs to run the actuator via sensors. Any tips?

Are you powering it with 120V or 240V? If you only use 120V on a pool GFCB that is for a 240V pump it will trip the breaker as it senses an unbalanced load, reads that as a ground fault, and trips.
