Leak in spa (gunnite) shell / plumbing.

After extensive troubleshooting on a leak on a my pool, I have isolated a pool leak to my pool spa. (When I don't use my spa and shutoff suction and return to spa - the pool no longer loses water over a week+ period).

As you can see from the pics, I even think I found the area in the spa that is leaking. The water will drop to a certain level and then stop dropping right at / below the jet level which makes me think there is a leak in the plumbing around this jet.

So my questions are..

-Is there anyway to TRY and fix this without excavating the spa interior shell around this jet / plumbing via a "fix a leak" product Ive seen on the market?

-Could the leak be in the shell itself at the jet port?

Ive been trying to get a leak detection specialist out for months and having trouble getting anyone to respond so trying to see if there is anything else I can try before pushing forward for a new contractor (in the metro Atlanta, GA area)... thanks in advanced

Any intrusion (piping) through the Gunite shell has potential for leaking water between the pipe and the shell.
The plaster crew packs a hot mix of plaster around all these areas prior to plastering the pool.
This product is commonly used for patching plaster.View attachment 495190View attachment 495191

So would you suspect the pipe area is the cause of the leak vs. the plumbing inside the shell?

Should a leak detection dye around that that pipe easily show the leak? I tried it before but it wasnt really obvious if it was the causing of the leak or not.

If the leak was at the pipe.... what is the repair process and is it something I can do?

Yes, I suspect one cause may be a leak around the plumbing pipe.
Yes the die should show the area of concern.
The first picture provided is your goal to help protect against leakage.

So I bought plugs and refilled the spa to try and confirm your theory of a leak around the pipe...

Seems like your theory may be correct as it is still losing water with the plugs installed... but am going to try dye test tomorrow as well.

Question, is there not an easier product to seal the leaks around the pipe than the one posted above?

Seems like it would be difficult to get that product into the small space around the jet pipe...
