Hello. I am buying an Aquasport 52 (15x30) and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for pool lights outside of the one skimmer return? My installer is insistent that we do not cut any holes in the vinyl liner for another LED light and I hear that stick on battery lights may not be powerful enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Lights or niches are nice but they inevitably seem to leak. I prefer light niches and putting LED bulbs in incandescent housings. Cheaper in the long run. LED fixtures once the any of the LEDs goes bad there is rarely a fix, it's buy a new one. The incandescent you can just get a new seal and LED bulb for a fraction of the cost of the new fixture. Leaks are generally from conduit or conduit connections breaking because the soil around it moves/settle/expands over time.
When I redid my pool a couple years ago, I fixed the light niche. The brazed on threaded jam nut fell off (guessing the chlorine ate away the brazing filler). So I had someone weld on a proper stainless steel pipe fitting. Much more threads to seal on. It's threaded on inside and outside. If the conduit ever fails I can put a threaded cord strain relief on it from the inside and seal it too. I should have done this when I put the light in but I forgot and didn't feel like pulling the wire back out and resnaking it back in.
