Cost of switching to SWG

Installation is negligible. Just bought a RJ-45 for my 13,500 pool. Cell life IS what the warranty is based on. The bigger better cells give you control of more things with their control box.

Is there a specific property or feature that I should prioritize over others? Maybe lifespan?
I would prioritize cell rating as #1. A cell that produces more needs to run less time to make the same FC. Less runtime equals a proportionate amount of longer life. You'll buy a 50% bigger unit for only 20% in cost. Future you will LOVE it.

Once you're narrowed it down to two units of equal size, the adjustability of the unit, say from 5% increments or 20% increments, it's less of a deal breaker if the price is right. My cell only adjusts 20% and I run 24/7. When I produce a little too much because I have to select 40% instead of 35 or 30, well, that FC is my insurance that algae won't ever be a thought. If I wasn't lazy, I could lower the pump runtime by an hour or two and dial it in perfectly, but then I'd have to also be on the lookout for the next change, which would happen sooner with less of a safety net in reserve FC being produced.

If the two are similarly priced, then get the one with the finer adjustments just because.
Is the installation difficulty pretty much the same among all of them?
Yes. Some, like the Pentairs have an internal flow switch, and the others have a seperate switch that you also have to plumb in, but PVC work is easy and you'll be proficient by your 3rd attempt at it. I recommend getting a scrap piece of PVC and some fittings to practice. It'll cost $15 to learn.

On the electric side, some of the units plug into an outlet, and the larger ones are all hardwired to the electric in a similar fashion.

So I have been looking at discountsaltpools.com. I tried the wizard where it asks for pool size and locations and these systems (among others) come up. I am a bit lost on what I should be looking for. Just looking at one brand, the wizard recommended 3 options

circupool sj-45 - $1059
circupool universal40 - $1259
circupool rj-30 - $1359
circupool rj-45 - $1459

Is there a specific property or feature that I should prioritize over others? Maybe lifespan? Is the installation difficulty pretty much the same among all of them?
I would avoid the SJ Series. The design of the cell allows air to build up, exposing the cell plates at slower speeds.

The Universal and RJ Series cell design does a better job of reducing gas build up at slower speeds.

Apoligies for the late response - been busy with family stuff. I am looking to get either the rj-30 or rj-45 but the installation is almost exactly the same I think. For electrical, I am planning to use the right side timer, which is unused. What is the white box under the timer?
