Pump Sucking Air...again. Monster floats...

I bought a new Polaris this spring because my old one was ancient and had given me over a decade of service....along with multiple repairs to keep it alive.

Imagine my disgust when I came out and found it behaving as a skimmer. Sure enough, air under the pumps lexan cover. I ran the hose over all of the pumps' exposed intake plumbing joints and no fix. I can't find the air leak. Any suggestions?

Two tools that can help find a suction side leak are plastic food wrap and old fashioned shaving cream. You can wrap pipe joints to provide temporary seal or apply shaving cream and watch for it to show up in the pump.
