Kenai grey micro vs French Grey Micro… can’t decide

Hey LG and Welcome !!!

This may help. (Or make it worse if you see new ones you like).

I can promise you it was a miserable decision for all of us. The truth is, that any pics you see are a momentary snapshot of that day. The colors will range wildly throughout the day and season. If you start even remotely close to the ballpark you like, you'll see it and many others you also like along the way. :)

LOL @Newdude It does tend to change depending on what is happening around it that is for sure!

@Lookingglass You will see how just the different depths of the pool changes the look of the plaster. The plants and such around the pool will also influence the color.

ANY color you pick will look wonderful and provide you of many years to happiness in your new pool! Just make sure to stick around here at TFP so we can help you maintain your pool the best way with the least cost!

I didn’t know there is specific thread for this. Thank you :) and yes… I know shade, time of day etc factors into it but it will make me feel better if I see at least one pool in Kenai grey and not just go off of a brochure 🤷🏻‍♀️. Thank you again.

Best advice right there. I drove the following people absolutely crazy when making the decision (not necessarily in this order):
my wife (as she did to me), pool builder, finish manufacturer, finish sales rep, another finish sales rep, pool plasterer, hours (actually weeks) on the internet, craning my neck every time I drove by a pool, turning car around to look again at said pool, etc etc. You get the picture.
When all was said and done, we laugh about it now, as it was much ado about nothing. No matter how it came out we were going to like it. What happened is we ABSOLUTELY LOVE it, as you are going to LOVE yours. Build your pool and treat yourself to your well-deserved happiness.

Hi. New here. I’ve been trying to find photos of pools finished with StoneScapes Kenai Grey micro pebbles? My pool is 9ft deep and I’m concerned it might be too dark in the deep end. Debating between Kenai or French grey. Thank
We went with French grey mini. It's over cast right now but here is the deep end 7 feet. The shelf is about 18 inches.

I asked my pool builder to show me the Pebbletec color on an actual pool. We went to one they had
recently completed and it gave me confidence in my choice. It's not always an option, and the homeowner
has to agree, but might be worth a try.
Thank you. I’ve asked several times but nobody seems to have used Kenai grey :) and a lot of people aren’t willing to show their pools unfortunately. I’ll keep asking though.

As someone who struggled with this decision
My job brings me to many houses and I couldn't even guess how many hundreds of pools I've seen. (Cuz you KNOW I always peek around back).

I've yet to see *one* that wasn't beautiful in its own right, in person. There were plenty that weren't my style, or color, or whatevs. They were all still stunning.

Nonetheless, you knocked yours outta the park. Well done !!!!

I like to say that pools are like puppies. When it's all up your face, licking you stupid with its kibble breath, it's really hard not to love that little guy, even when it's not 'your breed'. Instead, your favorite breed list gets longer right then and there.
