Brushing pool for the 1st time

It's my first time brushing the pool after plaster. Anything I should pay special attention to? For example, I tried a few strokes and was worried the whole time that I might rub the pole against the plaster and damage it.

Also, it's pouring out here with temperatures in the 40s making it even more difficult for me. Any ideas?

Brush the entire pool at least twice a day for the first week and at least once a day for the rest of the first month. Make sure to brush the entire plaster surface. Brush from the top of the walls down and from the shallow to the deep end to knock off any loose plaster dust. You are not likely to damage it, just take your time and be thorough.

Ha Ha...the joys of pool ownership. Can't change the weather...wear a couple layers under some good rain gear, and wear some gloves. Stay warm out there!
