For some inexplicable reason my pool company's installed a skimmer whose throat is too large for the agreed coping width.
My pool design was supposed to incorporate 30cm coping around the edge (essentially the width of the concrete you see in the pic) but in their infinite wisdom my installer has decided to install what's circled below, meaning I now need to extend the coping to a minimum of 60cm to encompass the skimmer lid.
Concrete has already been poured over the rebar so this seems to be pretty "set in stone" now.
Do I have any other options other than asking them to rip it out?
