SWG monitoring

And that was another question I had.. does it take into account the UV loss or ignore that --- you're saying it ignores UV loss. So basically, lets assume that FC loss each and every day is consistently spot-on 4 due to UV (remember, make-believe world here) then if I can get my SWG rating where it shows "effect of change is RAISE FC by 4" then my SWG % and pump run time puts me on par with the UV loss and a wash , and FC should stay the same every day (again, ignoring the variations of a real world).

If that's so, maybe Pool Math should clarify "Raises FC by xx" (not including FC loss due to UV) ...

Whether it's a SWG, liquid chorine, trichlor, dichlor or any other form of chlorine - they all add FC go the pool.
The pool will use 'x' amount of chlorine per day. That 'x' can be a big variable based on many factors. As the chlorine is used up, the FC level drops. Adding any type of chlorine will raise the FC from its current level to a higher level based on amount added.

Yeah,I get that. I think I was overthinking the word RAISE... all other factors aside with FC loss, it still RAISES it that amount based on pump run time and %.

Not overthinking, I was confused by the wording also. I requested a feature a while ago where we could account for predicted FC loss. Over time I think with which data I might be able to roughly predict what my settings need to change week to week.

Glad I'm not the only one then, ha. Appreciate the response.
