Too late for deck jets?

Hey all, just discovered this fantastic forum mid build of our 20 x 40 vinyl wind pool. It’s been extremely helpful to get all my chemistry‘s in order and the pool has been crystal clear, Wish I would’ve known about it for some of our design choices!

My question is we are at the stage where we are finishing up excavation and stone for pavers, and realizing we would love to have some deck jets for some top surface water movement and sound. Currently, the concrete is poured over the pool plumbing, but there is a 18 inch excavation channel where stone will be going for our pavers. I called my pool company and they said it was too late for them to add deck jets, it seems to me with the plumbing still accessible at the pump if I just wanted to put two jets near the deep end using the channel for the piping would that work?

I also live in Pennsylvania where we get pretty frozen winters, not sure if that affects the depth of the line needed for deck jets, or if it’s something I can close off at the pump and blow out with compressed air?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Anything can be done for enough money.

I don’t see a trench running all the way to your equipment pad where the other pipes come up. So some new trenching will be required.

BTW, I would not accept the worm clamps and flexible couplings where your pipes come up by the pool pad. Your plumber was too lazy to properly align the pipes and equipment to use rigid PVC connections.

And installing an energy hogging pump instead of a VS pump was not a wise choice.

And there are better, less troublesome, ways to chlorinate your pool then Trichlor tablets.

Thanks for the response! I literally learned about this site once my pool build was complete so I will definitely be making changes based on what I’ve been reading. Thanks for the heads up about the clamps.

I’m willing to pay for the work, just trying to figure out how much needs to be done. The picture with the equipment pad the adjacent to the stone trench would be about a foot of digging. Could I run a line off the chlorinator exit point and have it laying 18 inches below grade?

I had my builder put in a waterfall line for future use on the deep end of my pool. After my final bill for the pool i said im never going to put in a waterfall after spending this much on the project. So before they poured the decking i use that pipe for the waterfall and installed a deck jet in that spot. Well I think ive used it like 2 times.
They are cool for like 5 min then its just kinda old. The kids like it but if it cost more than 2-300 bucks to do its not worth it.
