Greetings!

Pool company gave me this 25' blue drainage/backwash hose that was never long enough to get to where I needed it. Local firehouse was getting rid of some 50' hoses and I was the beneficiary.

Please see attached photos. The current "blue pool hose" goes over the ribs and is held on by a screw clamp.

I can't be the first one to do this ... What is the best way to attach them?

TIA!

Maybe the info below will help.

If you are gonna leave it on just cut the end off and slip on barb with hose clamp. Or hose barb to cam lock fittings.

Yea...my last resort would be to do just that - cut one end of the hose, slip it over the pvc barb and clamp - the same way the blue hose is currently secured. But given that there's perfectly good threats there, and an easy way to get it on an off, I'd like to do a more eloquent solution - ie, threaded PVC or PVC to brass threads.
