Hey all so yesterday I did a backwash and started adding DE to my filter for the first time. This morning I came to the pump and it was already time to backwash again so I did then I added DE again. After I did that I noticed small tiny bubbles in the look glass of the filter and I thought weird since it was on filter.
I came home from work and now noticed a decent drop in the water level. I run to the filter and checked as it’s running in filter mode it’s throwing a little water out the backwash port!?
Could it be the valve has gone bad? Just shut her off for now.

Might be time to inspect the spider gasket in your multiport valve.

First, I would check that the valve is seated properly and not caught half open/closed. If the valve handle looks to be seated correctly and you still get a leak, I would suggest you take the stainless screws from the top of your mvp and carefully inspect your spider gasket.

Looks like the handle is sitting right. I actually move it across the different settings and back to filter and took the hose off to make sure it’s not leaking because my hose is beat up by the sun it’s not easy to see through and it’s fine not leaking out now. Should I order a new spider Gasket and replace? I’ve never changed that before.
