Hi, I recently bought a house with an intense "spool." According to my pool guy, I have pool level equipment (over)powering a nice in-ground spa. I control the features through my Pentair app. I tried to turn on the heater yesterday via my app and nothing happened. Went over to look at the heater and it looks dead. panel is dead. breakers aren't tripped. the plugs are in conduits that go underground so I don't think it's not plugged in. I have a call in to the heater repair guy but he's a 12 day wait. Are there any obvious checks a novice like me can do to see what's going on?

Sounds like there is no demand for heat. Make sure the desired temp is higher than the current water temp and the heat source is heater in ScreenLogic settings. Filter pump has to be on for heater to work.
Poolbreh - you inspired me to fiddle with the app. Screenshot attached. Even though I don't have a pool, just a spa, you can see there are menus for a pool and a spa. I remember my pool man saying that the "pool" controlled the filter pump. So, I went into "pool" and tapped "pool" at the top. Then I tapped "heater" at the bottom. I went into the equipment area and the heater fired up and the panel readout shows 76 degrees. Success! Then I went into the "spa" menu and tapped "jets" and the main jets came on and the temp started to rise. Good to go! No idea why I have separate controls, but I'll have my pool man explain it to me.
