My pool pilot failed to turn on yesterday, so I took the cover and metal cage off and noticed that one of the fuses seems very blown. The 6 amp fuse at the bottom of the board. I would like to order a generic 6 amp fuse, do I need to order a pool pilot branded 6 amp fuse? Or will any 6 amp fuse work as long as it's the same size, looks like about 30 mm...

It is a glass fuse, I just tried to remove it and I failed dramatically, it shattered.
Now I'm confused... According to the board it should be a 6A fuse. But the cap on the fuse I just took out says 3A 250V.
Is this a case of "6A @ 125V" = "3A @ 250V"? Does W=VxA apply to fuses?
It comes set to 230 volts with a 3 amp 240 volt fuse.
Only if the unit is converted to 115 volts, then you change to a 6 amp fuse.
If your unit is wired for 240 volts, then the 3 amp fuse is correct.

Thanks - I purchased a set of 3A fuses at Home Depot for about $3 and I'm now back in business after a quick insert.
