Hey guys new to this forum and looking for some advice.
My pool contractor installed a easytouch panel and a ic30. I was under the impression that the panel can and should control the IC30.
He installed the power center for the ic30 outside and next to the panel. I thought this part was supposed to be installed in the panel. My easytouch doesn't see or can control anything on the ic30, he also has it where the power on the ic30 is constantly on. Even when the pump isn't running. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
My pool is about 8,000 gallon.

Rob,

First.. your pool builder is an idiot!!!

I'm not even sure where to start.

I "assume" you have ScreenLogic. Is this true?

You have a Pentair SuperFlo VS.. It appears that your pool builder is controlling it using relay inputs. We need the date your pump was mfg. Find the label on the pump and show us a pic. If your SuperFlo VS was made after the end of 2020, then you should be using the RS-485 com port to control things.

Your salt cell's Power Center MUST be wired to the load side of the pump/filter relay.. except your pool builder is using that relay for your pump's speed control.. Sigh!!!

The SWCG's Power Center also needs to be connected to the com port on the EasyTouch.

And if that is not bad enough, your pool builder provided you with what is called a "lite" version of the EasyTouch, which has a very limited set of functions. It only has 4 total schedules and just 2 feature circuits.

He should come back and fix it, but if he is out of the picture, we can get you pointed in the right direction.

For the SWCG's power center to be inside of the EasyTouch, it would have to be a completely different (not lite) unit. If you know, tell us what equipment was in the original equipment quote, by Part Number.

Thanks,

Jim R.
