Mods, if this isn't the right place to post this please feel free to move. Thanks!

Now, on to my question...

My pool is clean, but my Jacuzzi is filthy. How the heck do you vacuum, sweep or otherwise clean it? I sweep it when the pool vac is running, but it just doesn't seem to get the dirt out. It just settles back to the bottom and very little gets tossed over the waterfall. I HAVE a "Jacuzzi brush" (see attached) that I bought several years ago, but it's pretty much useless! It just sticks to the floor from the suction.

What are you guys using (or doing) to clean your Jacuzzi?

Thanks
Ed

Our previous house, I would vacuum the spa as the last step when manually vacuuming the pool. I didn’t have a robot back then so I’d manually vacuum once a week. I’d skim with the leaf net and thats all it needed.

Are you surrounded by trees? What type of debris is in the jacuzzi?

I use a pole-mounted stand-alone rechargeable vacuum called a Pool Blaster Max.
I haven’t seen this before. So useful! I may try it out eventually.

My jacuzzi is a spill over. It is usually pretty clean, but I do get dust that I handle by running the pump “spa to spa” and just manually pushing whatever is there to the drains. I usually only need to do this about once a month for maybe 10 min and it’s been a good workaround to setting up the manual vacuum to my skimmer.

The dirt in the Jacuzzi is actually dirt and dust. I live out in a desert area and the wind just blows the dirt around with most of it ending up in my pool/jacuzzi! And yes, our neighbor to the rear of us has several eucalyptus trees and the neighbor nest door has several pine trees so I also get leaves and pine needles but those are easily removed with the net.

My jacuzzi is also a spill over but very little dirt gets spilled over!

I like the Water Tech Pool Blaster Max suggestion but I'm not sure how well it'll do with fine particles like dirt and dust.

I use something similar in the event I need to vac my covered spa. Although I usually use it in my pool for the steps & crannies the robot doesn’t get.
Intex Handheld Rechargeable Vacuum with Telescoping Aluminum Shaft and Two Interchangeable Brush Heads , Gray/Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015DXOI8I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ETVXZD89GENEYZP7BCVS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Its a little less pricey than the pool blaster.
It basically has a mesh net to capture things & it comes with a little skimmer sock that can go inside that to get fine stuff. It definitely works. I have learned to remove it while its still running so the debris doesn’t fall back in to the water.

I feel with enough time on TFP I will end up owning so many useful gadgets. It’s like Target - I came for a quick question, got a test kit, and here I still am. All these “needs” 🙂

Thanks guys. I just did an ebay search and there are a lot of similar devices available. Some look like brooms (which I don't like) but others look like vacuums like THIS ONE that has a stainless filter. Looks like it may work with dirt and dust since it doesn't have a "bag".

Well, I thought about this overnight and the problem with vacuums (any vacuum) is that once you start moving them around, they stir up the water and muck it up. The idea is to remove the dirt, not stir it up! So this morning, I took off the Hayward vacuum and threw the hose in the jacuzzi which I then used it to drain the water into the main pool filter. Once the jacuzzi was down to around 2 inches of water, I was able to sweep the seats and sides, then I used my garden hose to scrub it a little then I used the vacuum hose to remove any dirt that was left. Looks MUCH better now!

I guess I'll have to do this once every year or so to keep it clean. It's a PIA, but this way it DOES get clean.
