I am having trouble figuring out how to connect my Hayward pump Sp1592 to my new cartridge Hayward Filter W3C500. The Filter intake is at the bottom of the unit. Is there a kit or something to use? I am struggling to find anything online and pool store people have been less than helpful. Even a Hayward rep struggled to figure out how to do it. They can't even tell me if I need to find another pump to go with this filter. Any help would be appreicated!

Very similar to when mine was set up several years ago.

Are all the fittings that screw onto/into the filter and pump just stuff I can get at a hardware store or do I need to buy something special?
Many of them are, but nowadays supplies at the hardware store seem to be hit & miss. :brickwall: Hopefully you can find a good source locally. If not, you may end-up ordering online if needed.

I used these fittings man they are more expensive now double in price. They give a little margin for error. Also the Matrix pump to filter connection will rotate to connect directly to the side of filter housing if you want to eliminate a 90 degree ELL.
