Hi,

Can anyone point me on where I can give feedback to the creators of the Pool Math app? I’d like to suggest the following:

1. Add a field to record RPM of variable speed pump when recording flow rate

2. Add a field to record what percentage you are running SWG at

3. Enter VSP programming - RPMs and projected flow rates and return pool turnover rates in 24 hour period based on these parameters and gallons of water in pool

Now for the over the top, really not necessary but interesting to me feature request:

Along with features mentioned above add options to record chlorine level at sunrise and sunset along with number of swimmers In pool for that time period. Then a formula can be run to show a graph of chlorine usage based on SWG percentage, time of year, weather, and number of swimmers.

This is in "add chemicals." Choose SWG. it will show your swg output and allow you to put in swg% and pump runtime.
Yes that is helpful but it would be nice to record what you are actually running your SWG at and have that logged - along with pump run time. You could then review history to get an idea of chlorine dissipation by looking back at logs. It would be really cool to create a report from that log data showing date/times with chlorine loss cross referenced with SWG percent and run time (and even weather!). Again - I realize this is pie in the sky stuff. I just find myself constantly fiddling with my SWG to maintain an ideal chlorine level (7.5% of CYA). Just some feedback for 'nice to haves' - I realize this stuff really isn't necessary, Pool Math gets the job done as is

I am not manually adding chlorine so I would like to see these additions added to log automatically. Maybe in the pool setup area there should be swg percentage and pump run time - then based on this chlorine added could be automatically generated in the log.

Additionally it would be good to have a section in pool setup for variable speed pump where you can put in your pump runtimes with RPMs and flow rate that would return number of turnovers of water which would also be logged.

Got it.

We don't believe in turnover. We recommend running your pump(s) enough each day to create your chlorine (if SWCG or tablets), skim the surface, and keep the water clean is all that is needed. The cornerstone of this belief here: https://consensus.fsu.edu/FBC/Pool-...4_study-efficiency_of_circulation_systems.pdf

So if you don't believe in pool turnovers then why is there a field for flow rate in the current app? There is still value in running the pump just to simply help keep debris out of the pool (auto-skimming) even if you don't believe in it for other reasons. Also VSP's are being mandated in many states - it would be nice to have the ability to enter a schedule with KWH and show projected cost per month. I went from spending over $200/month to $30/month when switching pumps and I can now run all day and keep my pool cleaner. I also only have to run my SWG at about 10-20% and have the ability to create a lot more chlorine for a lot less money - so I would argue being able to track these metrics still has value

@Leebo A couple more feature requests:
- Notes section for logging test results (ie, I'd like to be able to notate whether I did the test myself or these are pool store results, whether an event like rain or a pool party has happened, etc)
- Ability to click on a particular parameter and see historical readings, even if just for 90d (ie, I just asked myself "is my CH climbing due to evap/water replacement?"...would like to be able to access that info on the app)

Love the app, recommend it to everyone, thanks for putting it together! Also, let me know if I can get involved here (at TFP), I'm a tech type :)
