Followed PoolMath. ph off the chart. Pool turning green. Help?

Are they worth enough to bother selling?
That, my friend, is an entirely subjective question. You will get answers all over the board. If 10 or 20 bucks aren't worth the hassle, no. If you want to get some of your money back, yes.

Can you return the unused items to the pool store?

Thanks.

The store I used to use closed after many years. Old couple aged out.

Two more, folks….

The Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) is OK, but may or may not be necessary.
The Calcium Hardness Increaser... As it is Clorox, check the back label and the SDS for additives. If no additives then it is OK, but may or may not be necessary.

100% calcium chloride. It is good to increase CH. You have a vinyl pool, so it is really not necessary. I run CH in my vinyl pool at 200-225. One for health of my heater, other is that liners, apparently more recently are being made with some calcium content. Best general recommendation is to run your vinyl pool at 200 or so.

Sand.

Added this to the skimmer basket in small portions to help clear the water. I think the problem was originally caused by the flocculant. So as I’m not using that I wonder if I should get rid of the stuff.
Keep it. I can be useful to improve filtration in the future.

It’s not flocculant though. It’s DE. You can use it if you want to. Up to you. It can make the water more clear.

Thanks for that link.

I meant that I'd used flocculant, which caused a lot of snot-like stuff in the pool. I used the DE w the sand filter to help filter that Crud out.

Ah. Have you had a chance to inspect the sand inside the filter yet? Many users have reported that flocculent has gummed up the sand in their sand filter to the point where it needed replacement - might be worth checking it to be sure it's not happening there.

(Sorry if this was advised upthread, I'm posting from work and don't have the availability to read all of the previous posts!)
