Looking for a quick real world review. Not much out there on the youtubes or in the google box. Maybe that's a sign!!! On paper it fits all my needs. I am looking to purchase on soon. Thanks in advance
Fifteen years into the 2000s, the landscape has changed in the world of retail. Where we used to have to go to visit a specialty store to purchase any given item, the presence of the internet makes essentially any searchable product a click away. Traditional brick and mortar stores are becoming...

Based on the information from Maytronics, it is the same as my Trinton PS Plus. Which is the same as: Dolphin S300i = Dolphin Active 30i = Pentair Prowler 930 = Dolphin Proteus DX5i = Doheny's Mercury = Dolphin T45
Other than color scheme (which could be important...) they are the same. I think they renamed the Active 30i to the Active 40, since the 30i doesn't seem to be around anymore.
Are you craving more fun pool time? Let the Dolphin Active 40 remote swimming pool cleaner do the pool cleaning for you.

Someone else can chime in on the company in Colorado. They sell, I believe, the Pentair Prowler 930, for a discount. You have to order over the phone so they do not get in trouble with "internet" sales. I had already bought my Triton PS Plus....
Honestly, it works great. I mostly use the WiFi phone application to program the cleaning times. I leave mine in the pool so it can start every day. I do occasionally use the WiFi application to start it remotely.
I purchased the Dolphin Active 40. Overall impression, great machine with a lot of flexibility in cleaning. Tough to clean filter basket.
Pros
Love the color scheme
Came with a caddy (I need one)
Simple setup
Cleans the floor walls and waterline well gets a lot of the fine stuff
1h 2h and 2.5h cleaning times
Wi-Fi works great
Controllable from anywhere
Dual brushes (1 active)
Tracks not wheels
Filter options
Swivel cord no tangles
Cons
Filter/Debris basket tedious to clean
When using fine filter, filter full indicator comes on half way through cleaning cycle
Remote control steering control not great
Tends to "wheelie" at times.
I have researched a ton of cleaners. They all have their own "advantages". In the end this one works well for me. Ya it is expensive. I hope it lasts 5+ years. I run it 3-4 times a week.
If you are looking for a cleaner with a caddy that gets a lot of the little dirt it's great.
It looks like you have one more cleaning cycle and the caddy. They clean far better than the pressure side cleaners AND use less power.
In another thread we've discussed leaving the unit in the pool. I'm pulling mine out now. But that defeats the purpose of the programmable cleaning cycle. I loved the robot cleaning my pool every day at the same time. My Hayward automation system did this with the Polaris.

EDIT........So the 2.5hr cycle works. Yeah I don't know why the 2.5hr cycle works. I think the app opened that option up to the dolphin cleaners. It's does work. .
I also struggle with leaving it in the pool. Our pool typically has a solar cover on it when not in use so it doesn't get too dirty. I HATE swimming with it in the pool. I do remove it on Friday and it typically stays out of the pool all weekend. It gets back to work on the weekdays just like everyone else in our house. I know they say it is meant for the water but I thing leaving these machines in the water for extended periods of time lessens their lifespan. I don't know.....
