25k pool; Circu Rj45 or 60?

In my opinion, spend a few more bucks and get the 60+. I've got a 45+ in my smaller pool (~18.5k I think), and I typically run it around 35% for around 10 hours a day. Should be ballpark similar for your pool, but with the cost of materials not going down any time soon it's a hedge. Not to mention, you can always run it less than 100%, but you can't run it more - makes sense to have the excess capacity.

I'd suggest the 60+ as well. I installed one of those about a year ago, and there have been no issues. In addition to the points everyone makes above, keep in mind that installing the larger SWG should increase the time before you have to replace the cell. To me, that assumption made the 60+ a better deal over the 45.

Rj 60 is on the way! So is a Taylor test kit. I have the needed pipe and fittings on hand. Just need to pick up salt and check if my 2011 jandy vs pump has an aux relay to tie to or if i need to get a mechanical timer switch.

Rj60 is up and running As of yesterday. I have it wired to the aux relay on my vs pump that runs 24/7. Ihave it set at 50% power. Surprised at how much it seems to be in “rest mode.“ Does 50% power equal ”running 1/2 the time”?

Yes or so....Each one of the manufacturers use a different algorithm for "cycle times." Essentially, they run on cycles, like 180 minutes on, off, and rest.

The CircuPool RJ model (since 2013) does it as follows; power to the cell cycles on and off to regulate the amount of chlorine production. The duty cycle is 200 minutes so for example, an output setting of 75% will deliver full current to the cell for 150 minutes, followed by a 50 minute idle period.
