Hello! Did anyone choose steps wider that 12"? Not the height between steps, but the width? Thinking maybe a wider step would be more comfortable for sitting. Maybe 15 inches? We will have a 8x6 rectangular tanning ledge with 2 more steps into the pool.

15" should work fine. It may just make it awkward walking up the steps for people who cannot take a wide step. They may need to put two feet on each step to get up each step.
