Stonescapes Midnight blue looks baby blue

Hi everyone, I am a new pool owner and found this thread while searching pool finishes.
I chose Stonescapes midnight blue mini pebbles and they completed it a few days ago.... however, it does not look like midnight blue at all. It is so light and almost looks like aqua blue. The pool company told me they can expose it more by running chemicals/acid and the pump for 2 weeks but I have friends that have the same finish and theirs looks like a lagoon (which is the look I am going for). I don't know how to search this site for threads that include keywords so I thought Id post here.
Hoping I can compare to other pools or get some direction. I rather request to have the finish redone than run the pump for 2 weeks with chemicals only to find out that its still too light. Help!
I added photos of my pool, a closeup of the finish compared to the midnight blue finish. Also, when they were adding the finish, it looked baby blue compared to photos online where the filling was way darker.

Hi. Here is my pool. Please note my pool is 48'x 8' with a 6' x 8' attached spa and the pool generally has a fair amount of shade and hence looks lagoon color except in bright direct sun and then looks green/blue. It is not what we hoped for at all. I hope you are able to get the look you want. You can also look at my thread and media postings for more. Not sure if this helps, Ellen M
