does any body know the exact replacement for my VSP SP3200DR (about 9 yo); I am looking for the exact replacement so I minimize pipe connection changes; but more importantly, I want to make it work with the Hayward ProLogic automation system. TIA.

Welcome to TFP.

The Hayward TriStar VS pump is the same form factor as the EcoStar and will work with your Prologic system.

I would get a TriStar pump and not a EchoStar.

Hayward puts the W3 prefix on model numbers it sells through retail channels. The Expert Line is only sold through Pool Builders. The different models are the same for different sales channels.

I am replacing my old EcoStar VSP for a new one. I was told by Hayward that the connection would be seamless, but I'm now finding that i only have 2 comm cables from the ProLogic panel but a 4 position terminal block in the new pump. The old pump had the 2 cables going to a Comm Bus block positions #7 & #8.

So the question is; where do these 2 cables (yellow and green) from the ProLogic go into the 4 position terminal block in the new pump ?

TIA !!

What exact model pump do you have and what is the link to the manual? I am looking at…

Connect your two wires to A and B and ignore COMM and see if it works.

Or add a third wire from 4 on your Prologic to COMM on the pump.

I can't make it work ! i've connected the ProLogic to the VSP according to the diagram below. I've tried with and without the COMM cable (the old pump didnt have this 3rd (#4) cable). I've also played with the DIP switched in the pump; no luck so far .... I'm pretty sure someone has replaced their pump and connected to the old ProLogic ... can any body share their experience ? TIA

Post pics of the connections on the Prologic and pump and pump dip switches.
