I had an estimate last summer and the installer bailed out on me. I gave up until beginning of 2022 and have an installer appointment in April. He gave me a ballpark over the phone but the estimate will be more specific in the April meeting with an install approx. 4 weeks after the meeting.
I asked for:
-16 x 32
-SWG
-Heater

He came back with:
-16 x 32
-steps
-Ladder
-Pump
-Filter
-Chlorinator
-4ft. sidewalks on sides/8ft on ends
-Gas Heater
-SWG
Total $37,800

Is there anything I missed or would benefit me to get now?

Thanks!

And Welcome !! With that price I’m assuming the pool is vinyl and it’s probably about right for your area. You’ll have to wait for more details when the time comes. You’ll definitely want the pump to be variable speed as they cost peanuts to run and pay for themselves many times over. You’ll also want an SWG sized 2X the pool volume. They are rated assuming 24/7 production and with 2X, 12 hours makes the same amount of chlorine, which means the pump only runs half too. They cost about 20% more to upgrade to the 2X (20k - 40k models) and last twice as long. The math works GREAT in you favor.

Check out the under construction threads here. Lots of builds to give you things to think about. Ask away anything and we’ll be glad to share our thoughts. :)
