I'm wondering if anyone here might know if the mfg year of pentair fns plus de filter is a factor in getting the correct standpipe to manifold o-ring. Something I thought would take 15min to order is now going on 2 hours.
-The expanded parts diagram in the downloadable fns owners manual on the pentair site today shows bulkhead o-ring (pointing at the o-ring at top of standpipe) item#27 says #192320.

-various online pool supply sites have the part as either #192323, 192320, 5900-0600, or Hydroseal Parco 2.112"I.D. Majority, including INYO, have it #59000600, and an older post I found on tfp contained uploaded image of a pentair expanded diagram but says #27 is #5900-0600. (for life of me can't find post again, but that tells me at some time in the past the number was different)

My filter is def older, but came with house so no clue how old. The manifold is white, although I've seen white knockoffs, that's not proving anything.

Any insights on the right number? I'm still leaning toward the 59000600 even with the latest pentair site manual saying otherwise.

Do you still have the old o-ring from the standpipe? If so, take it to an Ace Hardware (if you have one) and match it up to their vast assortment of o-rings. They normally have common sizes. I have done this for many needs.

take it to an Ace Hardware
Its still on the pipe, but I'd be worried it may be deformed/stretched to try and gauge by it's size to a new one.

Even though I may start convulsing as I hand over the money, I may just drive down to the pool store. Both of the part numbers I think it could be show to be instock on their website. That's probably the cheapest way anyway if I figure shipping costs. Pool is a nice murky DE white so hopefully this o-ring solves the problem.

Follow up?
Yes!
I went to the pool store, told him what filter I had, and the guy knew exactly what I needed. But both part numbers I thought it might be, that said on the website in stock, weren't showing in the stores computer system, but he said 'you're just looking for the manifold O-ring right?' And he walked over to one aisles and came back with a plastic bag with o-ring in it.
Cost was about $2.50, so I bought a spare hoping it was the right thing. Fits perfect. Definitely a better slightly snugger fit than the old connection was.

Bag says
"Filter Manifold O-Ring
Compared To:
American 590006
Hayward DEX2400Z6
Aladdin O-24
shelf life: unlimited"

2 numbers on bag above and below the bar code, guessing one or both are the stores numbers
are 66496 and AS-010
DK ORNG AP DE MANIFOLD O24

I actually did run across that Aladdin O-24 number on one of the online sites

Although its much better than it was, I still have slight DE leak that I can barely see but only when pump runs at a higher speed. Next time I open it up going to just replace the rest of the older grids hoping it has to be a loose seam I missed and hopefully not a crack in the manifold I just don't see.
