In the process of finishing up a gunite pool. Just recently had the Deck poured. Just a basic concrete with a brushed surface around a 16 x 32 freeform pool. Was a premium at $16.5/sqft for about 850sqft(plus cost of crushed stone and grading)

in some places there's an extra 4 to 6 ft around the perimeter of 6 in deep of crushed stone adjacent to deck. And in one area it goes about a foot past the concrete.

We just want grass next to the decking so all this extra Rock what's a surprise. Question I have is what is typical for having crushed stone extending beyond the concrete decking?

Thanks

I had electrician come a few days ago and heard 60 min of F bombs about how all the electrical conduits were run. Some are are above soil and they go in and out of water hook ups. If I had OCD would go insane,.......

If you were in AZ it would be completely normal to have rock around the deck. We buy rock to put around things 😁. We have deck, rock, a decorative boarder out of concrete, then grass.
