60 people sickened in 'chemical incident' at Texas water park | CNN

Around 65 people were sickened Saturday afternoon at a Houston-area water park in what local officials called a chemical incident.

"The chemical combination was about 30-35% sulfuric acid and 10-13% bleach, and that's all we have at this time," said Spring Fire Department Chief Scott Seifert.

Local news was annoyingly vague when I checked a couple of hours ago. It did say they were decontaminating about 30 people.

Dang, say it aint so Splashtown!

I had a season pass there when I was in 7th grade, before Six Flags bought them. Many good memories there and I hope they get their issues fixed.

'Burning everywhere' | Chemical leak at Houston-area waterpark sends nearly 30 guests to hospital

Guests were evacuated from the waterpark and some were still in their bathing suits when they showed up at the emergency room.

I had TONS of great memories at (class)Action Park in NJ. Thankfully none of them needed traction. :laughblue:

Haha, thats a great documentary. The best was that waterslide that did the loop, and they would have to pry the kids teeth out of the sides of the slide as they became embedded in the walls.

I need to watch it again and see if I can see 7th grade Newdude.

I can confirm the Hall-Of-Fame collage of pics atop the Alpine Slide. It was a twisted 80s badge of honor. I came *thisclose* many times but all I got was my raw flesh sticking to the vinyl seats the 4 hour ride home.
