Hi everyone,

we have a Jandy HeatPump and I knew there would be water condensation dripping from the unit when ON.
I’m not sure what is normal

below are some pictures - it has rained a lot in NC these past few days but it for sure puddles - the grass is wet mainly due to rain last night

I know I need to put riverrock around the pad vs dirt - next up on the list

the water that drips - is that salt water or clean water from coils ? Wondering if it damages the grass in front as that area has been stomped on a lot so the grass is worn down

Mine created a small flood at times. Humidity and air temps played a big part, just like a window AC unit.

It’s water from the air condensation on the heat exchanger. Coils, radiator thingie, etc. so it’s fresh water and not salt from the pool. Even if it was salt water from the pool it wouldn’t hurt anything.

Ok great

I thought it was a leak from the plumbing but I turned the HeatPump off, and after a few days the ground dried all up and then when I turned the HP back on all the water came back. Crazy how dripping can create that much water

it’s all dirt now around the pad which isn’t helping - hoping once I install riverrock around the pad that will help drain it better

thanks @Newdude
