I have a probably 20 year old Jandy diatomaceous earth filter (Jandy DEL48). It developed an odd small hairline crack above one of the water ports (see attached pictures) at exactly what would be the 12 o'clock position. I've fixed it (I believe) with JB-Weld epoxy but am wondering if I should just replace it.
It looks like Jandy discontinued this model quite some time ago and so an OEM replacement is not available and now the model # is Jandy DVL48. I found one website that has a Zodiac bottom that they say is compatible with the Jandy DVL48 for $430.
If it needs to be replaced, I'm happy to purchase it from a recommended vendor by this website. Also much happier if the repair will hold over time.
